Just landed: a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS eAWD in Radiant Red Tintcoat, accident free and barely broken in. Photos do not do this colour justice - it is a deep, dark tintcoat red against black RS accents and 21 inch alloys, and it looks considerably more expensive standing still than the number suggests.

The Blazer EV was built from scratch on Chevrolet's Ultium platform rather than converted from a gas car, and it shows in the packaging - a genuinely spacious cabin, a flat floor, and a low centre of gravity that makes it handle better than a crossover this size has any right to. eAWD gives you instant torque to all four corners, and it charges on a Level 2 at up to 11.5 kW at home or on DC fast charging when you are out.

RS is the trim worth having. A 17.7 inch centre screen running Google built-in with Maps and Assistant native to the car, a heads-up display projected onto the windshield, the aerial view 360 camera system, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, memory driver seat and mirrors, a heated steering wheel, dual zone climate with rear air conditioning, power liftgate, remote start, power folding heated mirrors, wireless phone projection and a 5G hotspot. Adaptive cruise control, blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist, front and rear collision mitigation and front and rear park assist are all standard.

It rides on Bridgestone performance tires with strong tread remaining all around - a set that costs real money to replace on 21s. It stickered at 67,194 new. Accident free, loaded, and one of the sharpest colours GM offered on it.
