This truck came into British Columbia in August and went through the full provincial out-of-province inspection, not a standard safety check. That is the complete inspection, every section of the truck, road tested before and after, and it passed on every line: powertrain, suspension, steering, hydraulic brakes, frame and body, electrical, lamps, instruments, wheels and coupling devices. The brakes measured at 12 mm front and 11 mm rear, which is essentially new, with rotors in specification. The decal is good through August 2027 and the inspection report comes with the truck.

The 6.7L Cummins inline six is the reason people buy a Ram heavy duty, and this one is set up to work. There is an integrated trailer brake controller in the dash, Tow/Haul mode, and a diesel exhaust brake on its own switch for holding a load on a downgrade without cooking the service brakes. Add heavy-duty engine cooling, a 3.73 anti-spin rear axle, shift-on-the-fly four wheel drive with a transfer case skid plate, and a Class V hitch receiver. It is a single rear wheel crew cab with the eight foot box and a 12,300 lb GVWR, which is the configuration that tows seriously and still fits in a normal parking stall.

The option list is better than the Big Horn badge suggests. The Sport Appearance Package brings front and rear Park-Sense, the Heated Seats and Wheel Group adds heated front seats and a heated leather-wrapped wheel, and the Level 1 group brings the 8.4-inch Uconnect 4 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power folding heated trailer tow mirrors, an eight-way power driver's seat, power adjustable pedals and fog lamps. Up front are premium cloth bucket seats with a full-length console rather than the usual bench. There are six auxiliary switches on the dash ready for lights or a plow, USB-A and USB-C charging, remote start and a 115-volt outlet. The Bed Utility Group adds LED bed lighting, the deployable bed step and a spray-in liner, and it rides on aftermarket Fuel wheels.

Accident free on Carfax Canada with no U.S. history, and a service file with regular oil changes and fuel filter replacements, which is the maintenance a Cummins actually depends on.
